The Tee Bird Review

The Tee Bird Review

The Tee Bird is a 1959 animated short film from the Woody Woodpecker series. It is a fine flick.

Woody competes in golf against a very nervous man in yet another sports-oriented short in the series and one too many to me personally. Although golf isn’t as insufferable as baseball, it’s still a boring game, so cartoons being so obsessed with those two back in this period continues to baffle me. This movie is also not all that well animated nor is it memorably scored.

With that being said, I still liked the flick for what it is, which is a fun Woody beating a man at a game type of story. The movie is elevated with the help of some very amusing and clever gags where the ball goes in physics-defying movements and positions and this is what made the film ultimately a solid one.

The Tee Bird is a solid flick that has a boring premise, but it’s elevated with some clever gags and a very fun Woody.

My Rating – 3.5
