Pluto’s Party is a 1952 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a weaker entry.

I did not care much for this short and I found it oddly put together and quite atypical, but not in a good way. It follows Pluto’s birthday party organized by his master and it definitely features some sweet moments such as the first cake sequence and Pluto himself being happy and chasing the cake was fun.

However, the rest of the short isn’t all that great. I did find the animation serviceable, but far from the greatest in the series. And the same goes for the score. The action is fine, but I did not like Mickey’s nephews here at all. And let’s be honest, whenever we got those kids in a Mickey Mouse short, they were annoying and the shorts themselves were too annoying as well.

Pluto’s Party has some good moments and Pluto is fine, but the nephews are annoying and the short isn’t all that great overall.
