Naruto: Shippuden Season 10 Review
The tenth season of Naruto: Shippuden is one of the weakest by far because it’s simply filled with too many annoying filler-like reminiscences and emotional soap operas.

Now I did like that the overall storyline was more ambitious and politically charged than the rest of the show. That was intriguing. We met all the other Kages from the other villages and I did like most of them quite a bit with their humor in particular being superb. All of the humorous elements surrounding the new characters worked and I was on board with all of that.
But what I wasn’t on board with was the introduction of so many characters in such a small time span leading to a lot of underutilized characters who are all so cool or amusing that they need more emphasis for sure. Also, it’s way too ambitious for its own sake leading to a very rushed season in style.
I did like Sakura’s determination to actually kill Sasuke. Finally she came to her senses and that development to her was actually quite welcome, but the less said about that other retard in love with Sasuke the better.
Speaking of Sasuke, I continue to dislike this character. And this is the crux of my problem with the entire show – he’s simply a bitch. A heartless, cold bitch and I don’t care about his tragic life when he has always been an asshole to all his friends so having Naruto still trust in him and care for him is by this point incredibly stupid and annoying and thus makes the entire show look dumb because that relationship is at the core of it.

I did like some of their confrontations here and of course the action scenes before that were great with the fight with Danzo being particularly terrific and well executed, but this season simply has way too many fillers in terms of the episodes being flashbacks of the episodes that we have already seen so I was thus bored tremendously and I did not get the point of them.
So this season definitely felt ridiculous in how pandering it felt towards those new to the show and thus all the more frustrating for long-time viewers. Yes, some fights are great, the politics is fine and the new characters are mostly terrific, but the fillers are too abundant, the season is too soapy in approach and Sasuke continues to be a problem.
Worst Episodes: Painful Decision and Sakura’s Resolve.
Best Episodes: Power of the Five Kage and Danzo Shimura.
