Moose Hunters (1937)
Moose Hunters Review
Moose Hunters is a 1937 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a pretty entertaining flick.
Goofy and Donald disguise as a female moose so that they can woo the male moose for Mickey to shoot him. The hunt of course proves futile and they end up running for their lives. This is one of those situational cartoons which only feature mostly just one situation and lack variety. It also is rather familiar in its plot to be honest. But still, it’s such an undeniably fun movie that I really liked it regardless.
Mickey is underused once again, but Goofy and Donald are an excellent combo here. I loved the moose and how well they were designed. The animation truly is excellent here and the same goes for the score which fits the action on screen superbly. The said action is terrific and the flick is constantly entertaining from start to finish with the highlights being the wooing scene as well as the fast, but satisfactory ending.
Moose Hunters is a successful situational comedy with underused Mickey, but a great Goofy/Donald combo, superb animation and many fun scenes.
