Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas is a 2004 direct-to-video Disneytoon Studios film that is one of the worst of their movies.

Yes, I really disliked this one for many reasons, but the obvious one has to be its animation, which is absolutely horrendous. The movie is a sequel to ‘Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas’, which was actually a pretty solid and charming flick in its own right, but this first sequel for the studio isn’t hand-drawn, but rather CGI.
The results are so ugly that it hurt my eyes watching it. It is one of those movies that remind me of those video games from the late 90s with very dated graphics. The designs and the overall unpolished feel to it are truly something else.
And I also did not care about any of its segments. The one with Donald’s nephews was actually quite cute and sweet, but all the other ones are so bad. Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck are particularly annoying this time around as these stereotypical female characters that you just want to punch in the face.
Mickey and Donald and also Goofy are all just serviceable without ever being their regular great selves. I did like Max here, but again he was somewhat oddly put together inside this mish-mash of a product. Pluto is sweet and I liked that segment, but overall the entire movie was very oddly paced and very badly made in terms of its production values.
