Little Blabbermouse (1940)
Little Blabbermouse Review
Little Blabbermouse is a 1940 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a very weak entry.
Once again we get a throwaway cartoon lead character who is more annoying than anything else really. This time around it’s another mouse who blabbers and talks all the time. He is frustratingly annoying and uninteresting and the entire story of the film is very subpar, dull and uninspired.
The film definitely has very strong animation and certainly Warner Bros. cartoons has significantly upped its game when it comes to the quality of their animation as this is another very well colored, crafted and visually pleasing cartoon. But it’s a shame then that those technical aspects are wasted on a dull, overlong and such forgettable story and characters.
Little Blabbermouse is a weak Merry Melody that looks very good, but is annoying in protagonist and weak in plot.
