It’s an Ill Wind (1939)
It’s an Ill Wind Review
It’s an Ill Wind is a 1939 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weaker short.
Now, I don’t know why, but the quality really dipped during this particular period when it comes to Warner’s cartoons. This one is no exception and the third weaker short in a row, albeit better than the previous two. I liked the duck character and he was well designed and amusing, but underutilized entirely.
Porky Pig has rarely been this forgettable and also rarely have I seen this uninteresting and unfunny Porky short. It is well animated and it has a couple of solid moments, but the overall storyline is weak and the film lacks both in memorable action and in gags.
It’s an Ill Wind has its moments, but is mostly a weaker short in the Looney Tunes catalogue with Dizzy Duck being solid, but with Porky being forgettable.
