His Hare-Raising Tale is a 1951 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is an okay flick.
This is one of those filler movies which reuses footage from previous movies in a shameless fashion of which of course I do not approve. In particular, choosing from flicks like ‘Baseball Bugs’ and other sports and boxing shorts was an incredibly poor choice as those movies were already pretty weak themselves.
However, ‘Haredevil Hare’ is a classic, and I liked seeing it here. I also liked that nephew of Bugs’, and simply the ending of the cartoon where he doesn’t believe the stories and it’s shown that Bugs lied to him was so funny and so unexpected that it ultimately raised the film to a much better quality than before.
His Hare-Raising Tale is thus one of the better reused footage entries thanks to that terrific, very funny ending.
