Go Fly a Kit is a 1957 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weird flick for sure.

This is a story of a flying cat who rescued another cat and they began a romance. This is all told through this narration and the backstory involves eagles. It’s all very strange indeed. What I liked about it was that interesting narrative structure with the flashbacks and the narration. It made the short unique for sure.

What I didn’t like is the fact that the flick never develops its characters properly and this is yet another one of those one-off shorts that simply does not stick with you longer like the best Looney Tunes cartoons do. The animation is nice and the movie is charming, but inconsequential and slight.

Go Fly a Kit has an interesting narrative structure, but the overall characterization and plot left a lot to be desired.
