Get Rick Quick Porky Review

Get Rick Quick Porky is a 1937 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very solid flick.

I will not talk about the storyline as it is very convoluted to talk about, but actually rather well crafted and with quite a big number of characters, all quite memorable. It is a get rich story of course, but the one which is done really well and despite being again too convoluted and too fast paced, it is mostly very entertaining and I loved most of its plot points.

The music is very good and the animation is solid. Some of the gags are excellent such as the last one with the gopher. He is a very memorable trickster here and the dog is quite cute. John Gusher is memorable, if typical as this evil businessman weasel and Porky is very good here. Gabby is solid here, although not as much used as in his previous two outings which is a shame as this is his last cartoon.

Get Rick Quick Porky is fast and has too much going for it, but the characters are memorable and the action is great.
