Get Lost Review

Get Lost Review

Get Lost is a 1956 animated short film from the Woody Woodpecker series. It is a pretty weak short.

Woody Woodpecker is reading Hansel and Gretel to his two young cousins and the story that he tells becomes this entire movie. This is a very odd flick that simply did not feel like a Woody Woodpecker short to me. The animation is solid, the voice acting is good and the flick has a charm to it for sure, but the plot was so mediocre.

I did not care for the two kids and I found the idea to focus just on these two for the entire runtime a foolish one. I needed Woody back in this movie, but he was only there in the beginning and ending. It is a badly structured, strange movie that is not my idea of what these shorts should be.

Get Lost is well animated and somewhat endearing, but it felt odd, uninteresting and too different from other entries in the series.

My Rating – 3
