Fur of Flying Review

Fur of Flying Review

Fur of Flying is a 2010 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series.

Wile E. Coyote fashions himself a homemade helicopter helmet. Soaring through the sky and over the cliffs, it’s a surefire way to catch the Road Runner, assuming he can avoid military testing grounds. This is another Road Runner short released in 2010 that has that same 3D animation style and a very bright color palette. This is the inferior of the two movies as it has weaker gags and action set pieces.

The helicopter helmet at first produced a couple of amusing moments and the coyote was a lot of fun here. My issue is that the military scenes were unnecessary and the film lacked truly memorable set pieces with the railway tracks in the previous flick being much more interesting. It’s a well made film, but one that is also ridiculously short at just three minutes.

Fur of Flying looks and sounds good, but it featured unimpressive action and gags while the short runtime was once again too much of a hurdle to overcome.

My Rating – 3.3
