Feud with a Dude is a 1968 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a very weak short.

Merlin the Magic Mouse and his sidekick Second Banana stumble into the age-old feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys. This is a very odd short that simply doesn’t work. The main issue is that it tries to put these two characters into this familiar story of these two clans fighting with each other, but they did it awkwardly, resulting in a messy movie.

Basically, Magic Mouse and his sidekick appear only sporadically in this short that ended up mostly focusing on the two clans, and we have seen this story so many times before that this rendition felt unnecessary and tiresome. The energy is brisk and definitely commendable in its execution and the animation is solid, but it failed to do any of its characters justice.

Feud with a Dude looks fine, but it’s a short that is messily executed and poorly constructed.
