Donald’s Tire Trouble Review

Donald’s Tire Trouble is a 1943 animated short film from the Donald Duck series. It is a weaker cartoon.

While driving his car, Donald has a flat tire and changing it isn’t easy. This premise is perfect for a Donald Duck cartoon. And sure enough, there are moments here where Donald’s frustrations made for an endearing and amusing watch. The animation is reliably excellent and very polished.

Still, this movie didn’t work for me because it felt too familiar and safe when compared to its predecessors. It also lacked truly memorable and exciting gags, being pretty standard throughout its runtime in execution. It needed something more to happen and not just having this very basic tire issue from beginning to end.

Donald’s Tire Trouble has a solid premise and fine animation, but this cartoon ended up being too familiar and lacking in truly memorable gags.

My Rating – 3.3
