Donald’s Camera Review

Donald’s Camera Review

Donald’s Camera is a 1941 animated short film from the Donald Duck series. It is a very strong short.

Donald decides to use his camera to photograph some wildlife, but the animals he finds torment him and hinder his efforts to photograph them. The first half of this movie is a solid setup, but the second half is where the film reached greatness. This is where Donald had to deal with a stubborn woodpecker who just doesn’t want to be photographed.

The highlight was the scene where he fixed the bird’s hair. That was both hilarious and adorable. The animation is excellent per usual and the movie’s humor is among the best so far in the series’ run. Donald being annoyed by animals always produces fun results and here is no different. The final section with the tree and eventually the gun was also very entertaining.

Donald’s Camera features solid humor, great animation and hilarious interactions between Donald and a very cute woodpecker.

My Rating – 4.2
