Clock Cleaners (1937)
Clock Cleaners Review
Clock Cleaners is a 1937 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a pretty fun flick.
Mickey, Goofy and Donald are janitors in a clock tower and all three of them expectedly get into some shenanigans and troubles with the tower itself. This is your regular flick where the three have troubles with the parts of a setting, this time the storks, the bell and the mainspring. I liked the ending, but the highlight was obviously Donald arguing with the spring as some of his admittedly questionable lines are hilarious.
I also found the score very good and the setting is beautifully utilized owing to fantastic animation. I loved that entire tower and the movements inside it are so realistic and polished. I just wish that the flick was funnier, faster and more memorable and unique as it lacks in those areas thoroughly, leading me to question its placement among the best cartoons of all time by the critics.
Clock Cleaners is gorgeously animated and it has some great moments, but it’s not memorable or funny enough to be enjoyed more.
