Carrotblanca is a 1995 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series.

This movie is basically a parody of ‘Casablanca’ done Looney Tunes style. It is famous for being the short in the series that has the biggest cast of characters and that is where its main problem lies. I am usually not in favor of overly populated films and in the short medium in particular this doesn’t work as they got very little time to make proper use of any of them.

The animation is absolutely stellar here and the movie is technically accomplished, well acted and quite charming. Some of the dialogue was actually very memorable and witty. Bugs was especially amusing in this instance. The flick is a good time to be had with the gang, but it’s chaotic and it needed a better script and a longer runtime to make it more impactful.

Carrotblanca definitely is gorgeously animated and quite charming, but it’s not among the best Looney Tunes parodies as it was cluttered with way too many characters to make a bigger impact.
