Bosko’s Knight-Mare (1933)
Bosko’s Knight-Mare Review
Bosko’s Knight-Mare is a 1933 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very typical short.
Bosko dreams that a knight kidnaps Honey so he has to save her. The premise alone sounds very typical, albeit charming. And the execution is exactly the same – uninspired and lazy. It is also shorter than usual and should have been longer. There is not a single scene here that was even remotely memorable in my opinion and that was the biggest issue I’ve had with it.
But it has very endearing Bosko as usual and a solid use of Honey. It also features pretty good animation and I liked its setting and it was mostly well edited. I just wished that it was more original and that it was funnier and more entertaining in its execution instead of being forgettable and uninspired.
Bosko’s Knight-Mare is not bad, but it isn’t great either as it is pretty forgettable and never particularly entertaining.
