Bosko the Sheep-Herder (1933)
Bosko the Sheep-Herder Review
Bosko the Sheep-Herder is a 1933 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid flick.
What I didn’t like about this short is that it takes its sweet time to get there owing to a very slow beginning and actually the entire first half is pretty weak and dull. It definitely impacted an otherwise good film. But the rest is pretty solid and I liked both Bosko and Bruno here.
The sheep was well utilized and I liked the wolf too. The climactic ending was excellent and I loved how it ended happily with everyone reuniting and Bruno being a hero. Everything here was really well done apart from the sound design. I found both the wolf and the sheep sounds to be pretty odd and amateurish.
Bosko the Sheep-Herder is pretty solid with a weak and boring first half, but excellent action-packed and fun second half. It features weak sound, but great usage of its characters.
