Bone Sweet Bone (1948)
Bone Sweet Bone Review
Bone Sweet Bone is a 1948 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a weaker flick.
This is one of those family films which appeal to children more than adults as it’s filled with countless fun action sequences and in terms of storytelling it is quite lackluster. I wanted more humor for sure and the action, though not bad, is certainly far from remotely memorable.
It is a different cartoon in a sense that it features two dogs in rivalry and that was interesting. I liked the two quite a bit. I also liked the archaeology part of the short, though it was rushed and ultimately not utilized well at all. The animation is solid, but nothing particularly great too.
Bone Sweet Bone has solid dog characters, but the storytelling and action are highly lacking unfortunately.
