Bee at the Beach is a 1950 animated short film produced by Disney. It’s a fun flick.
Spike the Bee happily goes to the beach, but Donald ends up being quite annoying to him. This is yet another movie starring this bee and it’s not the most exciting or original one, but it largely worked due to a couple of very well executed and amusing scenes. The shark scene was quite well done, but the straw moment was the highlight for me.
Donald being annoyed by Spike was continuously entertaining. The animation is very good, though the score is forgettable. Both characters were well realized here and the beach setting was solidly utilized for action scenes and humor, but for the most part the plot was uninspired and most of it was expected and not at all memorable.
