The Great Steamboat Race (1955)

The Great Steamboat Race Review
The Great Steamboat Race a 1955 Disney comic book written and drawn by Carl Barks. It is one of the weaker Uncle Scrooge comics.
I did not quite care for this issue to be honest. It had its moments, but both stories were underwhelming. The first titular story had a fine premise, but it wasn’t executed in the best way possible. The family arc was an interesting one, but the action and adventure elements were subpar. The story never quite came alive, which is a real shame as it had the potential to do so.
Riches, Riches, Everywhere is also not all that memorable. It also had a good hook, but the execution of it was quite inferior. This one flowed better and was more engaging, but the story itself was lackluster and the adventurous as well as comedic elements were only serviceable.
