All in a Nutshell Review

All in a Nutshell Review

All in a Nutshell is a 1949 animated short film produced by Disney. It is a pretty flawed flick.

Donald runs a nut butter stand in the woods. Upon discovering it, Chip and Dale try to steal his jars. I usually really enjoy the Chip and Dale entries in this series, but this one was among the weakest so far sadly. The animation is as stellar as always, the sound is great and Donald is quite endearing, but the chipmunks themselves needed more memorable moments.

The plot was quite weak. We have seen similar stuff before in much better movies. Here, the interactions between the duck and the chipmunks were reduced to a minimum with only a couple of truly memorable moments. It needed more humor and more fun action scenes for sure.

All in a Nutshell is well made and animated, but it needed better humor and a more memorable plot.

My Rating – 3.5
