South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 Review
South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 is a 2022 comedy television special directed by Trey Parker. It is an improvement upon the first part.

I really disliked the first special, but this one definitely was better, though it still left a lot to be desired. But at least one of its three or four storylines worked and that is the Cartman section. Yes, Cartman getting fake tits was dumb and the humor centered on this premise was goofy and ridiculous, but that is what I loved about it.
For once, a South Park project felt hilarious and stupid in the classic SP fashion. I miss this and I want more of it in the future. This gag worked, but what was also terrific was the continuation of his fraught relationship with his mom. The special clever ends with Erik still not saying sorry to his mom, but doubling down on his bratty behavior. This was true to his character and finally Cartman felt like classic Cartman that we all know and love.
With that being said, the rest of the special was anything but great and certainly not all that funny. Well, the bit with the crypto ads and the celebrities bathing in pee was pretty amusing and they poked fun of all those celebrities that really deserve to be ridiculed for their advertisements and their lifestyles.
However, Pi Pi is just as annoying as ever and these two specials relied so heavily on him that it made me frustrated as no matter how many curses he repeated, he was never funny at all. The stuff with the ManBearPig also did not quite work, though it was certainly topical.

As for Randy becoming Karen, that part was also not humorous at all. This Karen storyline not only came too late, but it was so repetitious in its execution and so obvious that it was never truly funny and certainly older South Park seasons would have done it better. Also, to see Randy finally evolve and then again devolve was frustrating. Itβs as if Parker and Stone acknowledged the destruction of this character only to once again double down on the weed stuff.
