South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid Review
South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid is a 2021 comedy television special written and directed by Trey Parker. It was a disappointment.

The boys now as adults must travel in time to stop the pandemic from ever happening. This is a continuation of the previous special that was much better than this one. That special was at least quite funny in some subplots, but this one mostly plays out as a drama, which is not how I imagine this franchise.
The whole message at the end that we should all cut ourselves some slack was great. I have to admit that the message worked and how they ended the story was quite moving and satisfactory. However, there is one caveat here and that is Cartman. Wow, they infuriated me with this choice.
It turns out that he really was happily married and he wasn’t trying to screw with Kyle in the most terrible turn of events for the character ever. They ended up destroying him in the finale and that was somewhat memorable, but still this is a guy who would never marry and suddenly be good.
It’s an utter betrayal of the character and a missed opportunity for him to have a grand plan to fuck with Kyle. The fact that reviewers actually praise this goes to show that they aren’t really fans of South Park in the first place and certainly not a fan of comedies.

I did like the Cartman baby. That was as hilarious as in the previous entry. Jimmy was also funny in the final scene, Randy had his moments (though they are too obsessed with the Tegridy subplot once again) and Butters is pretty memorable in the future. That full frontal nudity moment was unexpected and the NFTs were very well made fun of.
