Cheese It, the Cat! is a 1957 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weak short.

A working-class mouse, who wants to steal a birthday cupcake for his wife, enlists his friend in an effort to get rid of the cat who has suddenly appeared in the kitchen. I did not care for this short unfortunately, even though Ralph and the newly introduced Ned Morton were okay characters here.

But the plot was simply very mediocre and none of the gags worked all that well. The animation is solid and the central character dynamic was solid, but the humor was weak and the action just as slim. The story felt pedestrian at best and the whole conflict was much ado about nothing really.

Cheese It, the Cat! does have a solid character dynamic at its center, but nothing else here was all that good. Instead, it was quite forgettable.
