The Pink Pill is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther slips on a banana peel and ends up in a hospital, where his elderly roommate keeps sniggering at all the panther’s misfortunes. I really liked this one, in particular the premise is fabulous for this particular series which always works best when dealing with some kind of annoyance or frustrations.
Certainly more could have been done with this story as somehow it doesn’t explore it to the fullest extent, the final third was a bit of a disappointment for me. But still, everybody is great here, I loved Pink and how he was determined to get back at this patient who was also highly memorable for such a one-off character. The animation is also quite stellar.
The Pink Pill is a pretty good cartoon that solidly makes use of its stellar premise. It features strong characterization as well.
