All a Bir-r-r-d (1950)
All a Bir-r-r-d Review
All a Bir-r-r-d is a 1950 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a fun flick.
Sylvester and Tweety are together on a train going for Pasadena with Hector the dog also being in there. First and foremost, the movie never is particularly memorable or funny in any of its admittedly well executed, but not the greatest scenes. It needed more edge and more originality to it.
But still, the train was utilized so well into the action, especially the conductor and the emergency cord. I found Sylvester terrific here, and Hector beat him up so much in very entertaining scenes. But of course the little bird shines as his lines are the funniest while that finale was very amusing and the most memorable moment in the film for sure.
All a Bir-r-r-d lacks originality, but it does have solidly executed action scenes and a superbly utilized train setting for the most part.
