A Horse Fly Fleas (1947)
A Horse Fly Fleas Review
A Horse Fly Fleas is a 1947 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a fun cartoon.
The flies engage in a battle inside the dog’s fur. I really liked this premise, even if it’s not as original as I’ve seen it before, but I always love seeing microbiology in my cartoons as it provides for inventive entertainment which is exactly what we got here. The animation’s great too.
I really found the characterization super solid here. The two main fleas are excellent and their voices are quite memorable. The humor is pretty solid too and the same goes for the action. But of course the Native American angle is dated and boring and the overall film could have been even more inventive and could have included more memorable moments.
A Horse Fly Fleas has its typical and dated moments, but it’s overall a lot of fun thanks to solid action and characterization.
