Vitamin Pink (1966)
Vitamin Pink Review
Vitamin Pink is a 1966 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
This is another odd cartoon in the Pink Panther series and by odd I mean that it tackles a different genre and a setting, but unsuccessfully so. This time, it’s a western. It involves pills and the panther having to catch a robber. The premise itself had potential, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
What I loved about it is the western atmosphere which is very well pulled off thanks to superbly animated western scenery and a great score. The film definitely is technically polished and atmospheric with solidly utilized protagonist too, but the villains aren’t all that great and the conflict is also forgettable.
Vitamin Pink is technically strong, but weak in terms of storytelling as well as humor and action.
