Two’s a Crowd (1950)
Two’s a Crowd Review
Two’s a Crowd is a 1950 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a standard flick.
Claude Cat is determined to get rid of the mistress’s birthday present: a new puppy. Claude himself is a great character, he’s always fine and even here it was a lot of fun seeing him work out this plan. The ending itself is very entertaining and memorable.
However, the short is, besides him, just another cartoon with this premise and we’ve seen so many of them in this series alone. The puppy is much less memorable, and the film needed more of the mistress character. The animation is fine, but nothing special. And the action/humor department is lacking.
Two’s a Crowd has reliably good Claude Cat, but it’s otherwise typical in plot and tired in execution.
