The Klondike Kid (1932)
The Klondike Kid Review
The Klondike Kid is a 1932 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a standard entry.
I found this film too complicated as there is too much going on here in terms of action and characters. It doesn’t have enough quality gags in my opinion. Certainly the Goofy scene is funny although not related to the plot at all and the action-packed spectacle finale most definitely steals the show here as the standout part of the film.
But even though it is well animated and mostly well done, it felt rushed in pace and most of the characters did not get their proper due including Mickey himself as well as Minnie. Pete also needed more screen time. The Alaskan setting is well animated and utilized, but in terms of humor the movie is thoroughly lacking.
The Klondike Kid is well animated and with a good ending, but lacking in terms of gags and strong characterization.
