The Great Who-Dood-It is a 1952 animated short film from the Woody Woodpecker series. It is a solid flick.

Buzz torments Woody at the county fair in this fun flick that makes use of their rivalry so well. The movie is very well animated and scored, though hardly artistic at anything that it did, which is the case for most of this series. Buzz is terrific here and it’s always fun having him chasing Woody to no end.

Woody is diluted in this short. He is actually a positive character from beginning to end, which was unexpected and odd for this guy, but I got used to this eventually. Buzz remains one of his best antagonists and it’s easy to see why they made so many movies starring the two during this era.

The Great Who-Dood-It has its issues, but it’s very fun, well made and featuring a great use of Buzz himself.
