Sky Blue Pink Review
Sky Blue Pink is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther decides to try kite-flying and annoys a local homeowner in the process. This is a standard short which is solid, but nothing out of the ordinary for the series. I did like the animation and the score quite a bit, but the overall action and humor felt uninspired.
This local homeowner is The Little Man and he was excellent. Both him and Pink are terrific here, and I really wished that they had gotten better material to work with as they are always fantastic. Their interactions here are superb. I also really liked the overall premise, it’s just that the execution isn’t the most entertaining one.
Sky Blue Pink isn’t the funniest or the most entertaining beginning of the year for this series, but at least it’s very well animated, and featuring a fine use of its characters.
