Shocking Pink (1965)
Shocking Pink Review
Shocking Pink is a 1965 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
This is a different short than usual because it features narration, but the one that is directed toward the panther himself. I do miss The Little Man first and foremost, and I do find the experimenting with the series’ concepts done for better and for worse, but overall this was still a successful experiment because it’s just so funny.
Yes, the action isn’t all that exciting, but the scenarios are still quite amusing, and I absolutely adored that narrator. His voice is great, and his British sense of humor as well as an accent of course are a whole lot of fun. Whenever he annoyed Pink Panther, I’ve had a blast. In terms of the humor, this surely is one of the best entries in the series so far.
Shocking Pink does experiment a lot, but it still is rather successful in its concept with the narrator himself being hilarious.
