Seasin’s Greetinks is an animated short film in Popeye the Sailor series released in 1933. It is sweet and thematic, but still disappointing.
The romantic couple this time goes to ice skating, but Bluto arrives too and the fight ensues. The plot itself is lacking, it never has too many funny or memorable moments and it a bit too short. However, the characters get their moments to shine with Popeye being funny and Olive once again using her big legs to her advantage in a hilarious scene.
It is also so well animated and well scored and filled with a great romantic and charming tone to it. The short is great for New Year’s Eve as it is so thematic and the ice setting is well put to use. It is an entertaining and sweet plot, albeit not too impressive or imaginative. It is fun, but one of the lesser flicks of the year.
