Pink Pistons (1966)
Pink Pistons Review
Pink Pistons is a 1966 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
This is such a weird cartoon that I mostly really appreciated its originality. It involves car racing, dealership and car gadgetry. The whole movie plays out in a haphazard manner as it seems disconnected and overly short and rushed. But when it works, it really is memorable.
I am talking about Granny Flash who’s such a hilarious presence here, and such a crazy cartoon character who was a perfect rival for the Pink Panther here. I also loved him too, and I loved the animation and the score per usual. The emphasis on cars was well done with the color of pink being amusingly showcased once again. I loved all of the details with the ejection seats and stuff.
Pink Pistons is rushed and short, but very amusing in the granny character and all of the gadgetry.
