Pink Pajamas (1964)
Pink Pajamas Review
Pink Pajamas is a 1964 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
This one doesn’t feature The Little Man, but someone who is in looks similar to him, but is a hard alcoholic. I missed the famous guy, but his replacement was pretty good himself. Of course this is nowhere near the quality of the first movie in the series as it’s never as memorable or as amusing, but it’s still pretty good in its own right.
I loved the first half where he settled in the house, and the second half was pretty good, though too focused on the man himself. I liked how well emphasized his drinking problem was, and those signs were all so well employed into the narrative. The ending is good too. The score continues to be absolutely amazing, and the animation is so charming with the color pink being so well emphasized.
Pink Pajamas isn’t great, but it’s pretty good. The drunk man is a solid character and I liked the silent narrative with signs quite a bit.
