Pink in the Clink (1968)
Pink in the Clink Review
Pink in the Clink is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther is forced by a burglar (the Little Man) to help him break into a manufacturing warehouse and crack a safe. This is a classic premise that is mostly very well executed. Whenever these two work together, willingly or not, it’s bound to be a fun short, and it is for sure, but it still could have been greater.
I loved the animation here, the film works as a heist flick so well, and all of those action scenes are excellent. However, the humor is lacking at the end of the day as there aren’t enough truly humorous moments to be had here, and that’s my problem with these later couple of years for this entire series – good execution throughout, but not funny enough in my opinion.
Pink in the Clink lacks in the humor department, but the heist action is great and the premise is well utilized.
