Of Rice and Hen is a 1953 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very funny flick.
Foghorn Leghorn saves Miss Prissy after she attempts suicide, then she sees him as husband opportunity, so it is up to Barnyard Dawg to make that pairing happen as he wants to get rid of the rooster once and for all. That role that the dog took was hilarious, and it all worked out in his favor at the end of the day.
Foghorn seemed a bit too dumb this time around, but it was very amusing seeing him fall prey to the dog’s scheming. Prissy is also very entertaining, and even if the film is too short, all of its scenes are highly effective and the scenarios are very well played out for laughs. Also, I love all three of these characters and all are so well utilized in this instance.
Of Rice and Hen is too short, but it’s very funny with a great script and excellent character moments.
