Naruto: Shippuden Seasons 13-21 Review
The last couple of seasons of Naruto: Shippuden are okay and they have their good parts, but overall the fire has been extinguished long ago.

I liked the fight with Tobi, that was well done, but I really disliked Kabuto’s role and the fact that they brought back major villains from the previous seasons as these zombie-like creatures was the most horrible choice the series has done in its entirety. Thus I found Obito himself especially ruined as I really liked his character before they ruined him here.
Also, those many storylines with Naruto’s beast were very dull and that’s where I lost interest the most as they overflowed the narrative to the point of a breaking point and I was never the biggest fan of the creature aspect to the show anyway.
Kaguya herself who’s literally a god was a memorable villain of sorts and I liked her scenes quite a bit. I also have to say that Sasuke was a bit redeemed in these last seasons and at least his scenes weren’t as annoying as they were before them.
Naruto got to marry Hinata in the last season of Shippuden in a big wedding which took up the majority of the twenty first season. That was silly, but then again the epic and heartwarming quality to these filler-like episodes is undeniable.

These seasons had some solid action sequences, good animation and also some solid character work here and there, but for the most part we got either fillers or boring fights with no end. And simply the rehashes of old characters and of course the many endless flashbacks led to a show that really lost its steam and could never recover.
Overall, although these seasons weren’t my cup of tea, Naruto: Shippuden as a whole is a solid piece of anime entertainment with memorable characters and fun action. The politics is also stupendous here. I would have liked to have seen less episodes, but the quantity over quality still didn’t hurt it too much as it remains a pretty good shonen anime in its own right.
Worst Episodes: Naruto and Hinata and Sasuke and Sakura.
Best Episodes: Hospital Besieged and The Message.
