My Feelins Is Hurt Review

My Feelins Is Hurt is a 1940 animated short from Popeye the Sailor series. It is a funny, but lacking entry.

I just found this entry to be very flawed because Popeye isn’t as strong as usual and Bluto is quite forgettable. The biggest problem is the action as the fights between the two felt quite subpar this time around and not anything stands out in terms of memorable moments. The story is also fairly usual.

But Olive is great here and it is refreshing to see her in her previous glory again. Her leaving Popeye for a cowboy was so funny and that letter was just hilarious. Her entire part here is really amusing and some of Popeye’s lines are also quite funny. The film is funny and it’s a shame that it is weaker in other aspects.

My Feelings Is Hurt finds Olive at her most amusing and some lines are also quite funny, but the fights are forgettable and the overall plot is uninspired.
