Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip (1940)
Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip Review
Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip is a 1940 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a funny flick.
Mickey and Pluto try to board a train, but the conductor (Pete) tries to stop them as dogs aren’t allowed on it. I personally found the ending weak as it felt overly convenient and simply not great. The beginning is also not as memorable. But the middle parts are where the movie shines the most thanks to a plethora of very amusing moments to be had with the humor being so good.
It’s a strong situational comedy with some good action and slapstick as well. I found all of the disguises very fun and those scenes are the best. Mickey is so good here as is Pluto of course, but it is Pete who entirely steals the show here thanks to such funny annoyed grumbles so well played by Billy Bletcher. The short’s surely stellar in its animation as well.
Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip is well animated and particularly well executed in its action and humor with Pete stealing the show this time around.
