Mouse-Placed Kitten (1959)
Mouse-Placed Kitten Review
Mouse-Placed Kitten is a 1959 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a forgettable cartoon.
Matilda and Clyde, a mouse couple, adopt a baby cat who was left out on the street. When he grows up they leave him for a lady, Foray, so she will take care of him. This movie isn’t particularly well animated. The animation is only serviceable and the gags are weak.
The same goes for the story. Nothing here is remotely interesting and the movie just felt like one of those early Merry Melodies that were all about the cuteness factor. Yes, that kitten is very cute and the whole cat-oriented story produced many endearing moments, but the humor left a lot to be desired.
