Mickey’s Service Station Review

Mickey’s Service Station is a 1935 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is one fine entry.

This flick is famous for being the first to star Goofy, Mickey and Donald together as leads and it’s very important in that regard. These three are simply phenomenal together as they share great interactions and chemistry. I do hope to see them much more in the future. Of course Pete as the bad guy is reliably great and with such a terrific voice per usual.

They have to repair his car, but only make things worse eventually. So this is one of those typical machinery shorts from this period and although it definitely is lacking in action and humor, some moments with Donald are quite funny nonetheless and I loved that ending too. The animation’s also very good as the penultimate black-and-white short.

Mickey’s Service Station isn’t another ‘The Band Concert’, but it came close enough as it’s a terrific, amusing short in what is promising to be a great year for this series.
