Marine Life Interviews is a 2017 animated short film. It is a Pixar short based on ‘Finding Dory’.

This movie offers interviews with the animals at the Marine Life Institute about their experiences with Dory. ‘Finding Dory’ is one of the worst Pixar movies, one that had no reason to exist. Similarly, its accompanying short is the worst of all these shorts based on their feature films. It’s well animated and it has its charm, especially for fans of the franchise, but I am not one, so I wasn’t too thrilled about it.

There is a lot of annoying humor to be found in this short with the characters ranging from forgettable to downright insufferable. The movie is also incredibly short at just two minutes, thus it felt like a thoroughly unnecessary experiment that simply did not work. The basic idea was a sound one and fitting to the feel of this series, but the execution was mediocre.

Marine Life Interviews had a good premise, but weak execution. Its humor should have been much better for it to work.
