Lovelorn Leghorn Review

Lovelorn Leghorn is a 1951 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a funny short.

Miss Prissy is desperate for a husband much to the other hens’ amusement as they make fun of her constantly. She sets out to bash Foghorn in the head, and make him her husband. Needless to say, this is a different take on a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon, and I was all up for it how great it was. The whole action, the way how she tricked the rooster near the end could have been better.

But otherwise the film is terrific. Barnyard Dawg has his moments, Foghorn is quite funny with some of his lines and of course the hens are suitably horrible. But Miss Prissy is such a great character, and I want more of her in this series as she is so funny, and so well designed and performed too. The whole film is superbly animated.

Lovelorn Leghorn is a different than usual Foghorn Leghorn short with such a terrific premise and scene-stealing Miss Prissy.
