Bosko’s Party (1932)
Bosko’s Party Review
Bosko’s Party is a 1932 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a solid entry.
I really enjoyed Bosko’s Party and it is to me one of the better Looney Tunes so far. Bosko organizes a party for Honey and the first half revolves around everyone hiding when she comes in and the second one is the party itself. I thought the party, when it came, wasn’t as entertaining as the first half was and that was a bit disappointing.
But the first half is so good. Again I am frustrated at that balloon gag which has been repeated to death by now, but otherwise it was fun watching Bosko and the others get ready for Honey and it was really charming when she came in the end and when everyone started dancing around her. I love the shorts that focus on Bosko and Honey and I hope I will get more of that from now on.
Bosko’s Part is disappointing in its second half, but so good and fun in the first half and it is a such a charming Bosko/Honey entry.
My Rating – 3.8
