Lonesome Ghosts (1937)
Lonesome Ghosts Review
Lonesome Ghosts is a 1937 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a pretty solid flick.
Mickey, Donald and Goofy are fooled to hunt for ghosts in an abandoned house by the ghosts themselves, but eventually they somehow manage to drive them out of the house. First off, this movie features such a fantastic, honestly superb and influential premise that it’s really unfortunate that the end product isn’t as fun or as funny as it definitely should have been. It came short of reaching greatness unfortunately.
But it’s still very much a good, amusing flick which features a weaker middle part, but the beginning is great and I absolutely loved that ending which is perfect, funny and so memorable. All three protagonists are excellent here with Goofy this time around stealing the show with some fun lines, but I also loved those prankster ghosts very much.
Lonesome Ghosts has its setbacks, but the premise and the ending are so strong that it’s still worth a watch.
