Knights Must Fall is a 1949 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a solid short.

This is one of those shorts that successfully transport you to the Middle Ages while making fun of the period in the process as well. What I found problematic was the whole sports angle to it which was somewhat clever, but it led to an overly repetitive and at times dull film as I am not a fan of sports personally.

I did love Bugs here though, he was awesome and he utterly destroyed his opponent in the game. I liked the attention to detail in its animation and the score is wonderful. The highlight in terms of plot points and humor is the final scene where the bunny uses the suit as a trash can. That was hilarious and a perfect conclusion in a typical Bugs Bunny style.

Knights Must Fall has its weaker scenes, but the ending is terrific and the rabbit killed it here.
